Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease which is characterized by white patches resulting from non-functioning of melanocytes.
Vitiligo treatment can be approached in two ways, either the white patches can be re-pigmented or the rest of the pigmented skin can be de-pigmented. At Divine proportion we offer surgical re-pigmentation procedures such as Melanocyte transplantation or Suction blister grafting.
Melanocyte transplantation and Suction blister grafting are outpatient procedures. You will need to stay for a couple of hours.
The very next day.
You can expect the white patches to regain pigmentation.
Scarring is a very minor possibility in Suction blister grafting procedure. There is no scarring in Melanocyte transplantation.
As with any surgical procedure there may be a risk of infection.
